Step 1: Become a Member by creating a MyTurn account.
Create a username and password, enter a valid email address and telephone number, and sign a Membership Agreement.
Step 2: Browse and reserve your tools using our online inventory.
Once you’re logged into myTurn, you’ll see a “Reserve” button below every available tool in our inventory. Click “Reserve” to begin a cart.
Select a start and end date for your reservation that aligns with our open days (Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday). Reservations for all tools are limited to one week.
Select an appointment time from the dropdown menu.
Click “Add Items” to reserve additional tools, or “Cart” to review and submit your reservation. Select “Submit Reservation” to complete the process.
Tools are expected to be returned functional, clean, batteries charged, and in the same condition as they were loaned out. Fees will apply for broken or lost tools.
Step 3: Pick up items and Donate
On your first visit to the Vashon Tool Library, you will be upgraded to a “regular” membership so you can check out tools.
The Vashon Tool Library is entirely volunteer run and supported by donations and grant funding. We are a sharing resource of the community, supported by your time, energy, and money. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, but most of us need to donate to make this community project thrive. We suggest $40 per year for membership. Funds are used to expand our collection of tools and pay for operating costs like rent and insurance. Please consider making the suggested annual donation of $40 to support this volunteer-run community resource. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Renew Your Membership
If you are an existing member and wish to renew your membership, log in to your MyTurn account and update your information and membership.
